So i got the blinking c button problem with the w580i... and at first i figured it was a battery problem because the phone keeps shutting off by itself. I even get the "alien battery" message whenever i was charging it.

Now, what i did was to replace the battery. What happened now was that whenever I charge the phone, I observed that it overheats on the back of the phone (above where you put the battery). After charging, battery power lasts approximately up to just 3 hours. and :censored:, its dead. :|

What do i do? is this something about firmware stuff? Cuz i dont know a thing about those :|

Are you using official battery?

Its unusual for it to overheat like that.

Water damage maybe? Is the moisture indicator in the batt compartment red?

Do you have official charger? That problem I have when I use unofficial one, "alien battery", phone reseting and SMS sending problems...
