Tried the search yet?

Or the Tutorials & Guides section?
holytoa
can't find anything
KrX
Patching is same for all db2020 CID52.

Here's one
It was in the tutorials & guides section...
holytoa
i don't get this part

"Select your main (make sure you select the .mbn file and not the .vkp file!) and click copy. In the 1st dialog don't change anything, just click copy. In the 2nd dialog make sure "flash babe image" (the 1st option) is selected and click flash.
12) After flashing is done, select the VKP patch that is in Far\Plugins\jdflasher\2020_52 and press copy. Don't change anything on the 1st dialog again. On the 2nd dialog make sure that "Process vkp patch" is selected and click "flash". It should take a few seconds."

pls help

thanks
KrX
Have you downloaded the 2020_52 pack yet?

Made your QuickAccess patch using qamaker.exe located in the 2020_52 folder yet?

Its just telling you to highlight your MAIN file that you used to make your quick access patch, and then press F5 (Copy), a dialog will come out. In that first dialog, just press enter - leave every option in that dialog in its defaults.

The second dialog that comes out should be a different one, one that has an option to select "flash babe image". By default, it should have been selected by default. If it isn't, select it and then press enter.

After that second dialog, your MAIN will be flashed.

After that flashing is done, highlight the QuickAccess patch that was generated and press F5. Again, the first dialog leave everything at its defaults and press Enter.

In the Second dialog, make sure "Process vkp patch" is selected (which it should, by default), and then press Enter.

For applying the quick access patch setool2 1.11 lite is the easiest way to do it
http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=20984 .
holytoa
is JD Flasher easier or SE Tools Lite easier?

i think both do theyre job good..
KrX
Yea, but most of the time patches apply faster with JDFlasher.

big sized patches as in how many kb?

well there are gfx patches of like 500+kb and setool2lite cant apply them
KrX
lol.gif then the max could be 65,535bytes ~ 65kb?
holytoa
can you guys post any vkp patches?
the section customize firmware only have the code and not the actual file
and i suck with codings

thanks
KrX
The code is what in the file.

Copy what is in there into Notepad and then use Save As... and type the filename you want with .vkp extension at the end and then surround the whole filename with quotes.

e.g.

Save As...

"holytoa.vkp"

(MUST HAVE QUOTES!)
holytoa
k thanks
i'll try
holytoa
i have this problem now

whenever i choose the organizer icon and press select
the phone just froze
does this have anything to do with patches?
KrX
Depends.

It could be your menu.ml
It could be SysGFX
It could be patches (depending on what patches you applied)

What did you do the last time before it happened?
holytoa
i changed my menu icons to the iphone type
patched the media player to walkman patch
and some other patch that can be found in this forum
will flashing my firmware help?
KrX
Yea, if you do a full reflash it will erase everything and should repair your problem.

Or you can try removing those patches first to see if its a patch problem.
