Why whenever I try to install a vkp patch for my W300, SEToolLite or FAR says successful, but then the phone wouldn't be able to start up. I always end up having to flash the main firmware back for the phone to work, thus losing the patch. Some help please? Does this happen to anyone else? Also, can I edit the firmware .mbn file on the computer to patch or make changes, since the patching doesn't work for me?

You need REST FILE.

I have the REST file for the W300, but I don't know how to use it or how it works with the programs. What is its significance?

Setool2Lite was made by the_lase, JDFlasher and many other tools are from den_po (and some technologies wich setool2lite uses are also from den_po I think, like the quick acces patch)

Ok, I now know how to use the REST file:
After patching, you reflash with the REST[ore] file, instead of the main firmware file. Works like a charm.
