how do you change the battery icon and the bluetooth icon. I saw a phone which had different icons and am bemused how he did it. Does it have something to do with the elfpack thing. BTW (this may sound stupid...but im a noob) does the ELF pack allow you to patch and phones .vkp file on your phone. I read that the elf pack makes your phone faster and allows screen capture but what else does it do? Thanks

you can change you phones icons by applying sysgfx patches .

You can change phone graphics either using GFX patches or using the SysGFX patch and put the .png images into the respective folder.

ElfPack allows you to run executable-like applications. They run on the phone and not through an engine like JAVA. They allow you to run .elf which are written in C++-like language and compiled for the phone.
To use ElfPack, you need to patch in the ElfPack and Elf Library.

Patches are text files with HEX values that are parsed by the patching program to change values in your phone's MAIN firmware. These patches end with the .vkp extension.

Thus, you do NOT need ElfPack to change graphics, you do NOT need ElfPack to patch your phone.

thanks alot!!! One more thing, can I use W850i GFX or SysGFX patches on a W830i? I think W830i uses W850i icons because well the "phone" image that comes is of W850i
