What we need:
1. DCU-11 USB data cable (for k700)

2. Fastport for k750 with all pins onboard. I cut my from origonal DCU-60 smile.gif

3. Ordinal RJ45 phone box

4. RJ45 phone cable

So we start
The task divides to 3 parts:
1. To make a box.
2. Make wire for k700 connector.
3. Make wire for k750 fastport.

1. BOX

Open DCU-11 black box (on cable) and remove all wires that comes to phone and leave only USB wires.
Now we need to connect box's wires to chipboard like on the scheme below:

You also can take big picture (2568x1761)
There are 4 wires in RJ45 box
BLACK
RED
GREEN
YELLOW
And you can connect them in free order.
But for convinience i offer you to connect them in this way:
BLACK - GND
RED - +3.3V
GREEN - TxD
YELLOW- RxD
After that you have this:

So, close the box and it's ready to serve wink.gif

2. K700 cable

Now we need RJ45 phone cable.
We have to cut it on 2 parts: first is need for k700 and second - for k750.
By default the RJ45 cabels wires have same colors coresponding box's wires.
If not then you have to note wich box's wire comects to wich RJ45 wire. And use this note to know wich wire is wich to connect.
Next we take k700 connector from DCU-11 and remove all wires from it.
Now we take first part of cuted RJ45 cable and prepare the cuted side.
For k700 we need only 3 wires:
BLACK - GND
GREEN - TxD
YELLOW- RxD
We have to connect them in this order:

BLACK - GND ==> PIN # 10 (GND)
GREEN - TxD ==> PIN # 6 (RxD)
YELLOW- RxD ==> PIN # 7 (TxD)
And connect PIN #9 (VPPFLASH) and PIN # 11(DC+) together on k700 connector.
K700 cable is ready to serve wink.gif

3. K750 cable

Now we need second part of RJ45 phone cable.
In k750 uses all 4 wires.
Let's connect them in this order:

BLACK - GND ==> PIN # 9 (GND)
RED - +3.3V ==> PIN # 8 (VPPFLASH)
GREEN - TxD ==> PIN # 10 (RxD)
YELLOW- RxD ==> PIN # 11 (TxD)
K750 cable is ready to serve wink.gif

THAT'S ALL tongue.gif

Now you have 2 in 1 service cable for SE k700 / k750 phones.

Thanks to all ppl who help me with it.
P.S. Easy way to know more is flash EROM with DCU-60 lol.gif

I've also made it an announcement (with the help of Darkmen wink.gif) for this particular forum as I thought it deserved the right to be on top of the other stickes as it's more of a general kind of help which won't become outdated.

*IMPORTENT NOTE*

Much better to use SHIELDED cable instead of ordinal phone RJ45.
Because it haven't shield stable speed is only 115200 kbps.
On higher speeds it behaves bad (read\write operation fails).

I have a little problem confused.gif . I have another DCU-11 cable.

I use original drivers which's come with it.
I've tried to shortcut 9 and 11 pin, but it doesn't work with SEFP but original functions stayed the same.
What should i do?
Does anyone have manual or scheme how to do your own k700i service cable?

Ho-hum... I am thinking about getting this cable myself and modding it of course wink.gif
But! If I get the newer model that grawp has I guess I need to unsolder the whole connector and then resolder it using wires in between and assemble it in a new housing, right? And the way I can see it there's nothing that would stop you from actually building both ends(K700 and K750/W800) into the same so that both are connected at the same time, right? Only thing to remember is to only plug ONE phone only at a time wink.gif

Does the above appear correct? Will this cable let me unlock a phone and access a K700 using your SEFP plugin to remove the annoying Vodafone branded "features"(dungpile of censored.gif) and let me flash the firmware using DaVinci?

Is it a necessity to have the dcu-11 cable?
Isn't it possible to make a service cable for k750 without using a dcu-11?

Allright, I've now built this marvelous and wonderful cable, but if I try to access my wife's K700i with FAR and the SEFP plugin I will get to the prompt where it says "press power shortly" and when I do that the damn phone starts, every time... So I fired up SeTool from Topsony and when I press power on the phone my computer BSOD's "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and the phone starts up... DOH... any suggestions?

This is original DATA cable pinouts:
QUOTE

7 CFMS Steuerleitung für Zubehör (Ausgang)
8 AGND Masse für Audiosignal & 0V Referenz

11 VCC Stromversorgung (DC+)

So you need:
1. 4.5 switch to 6.7

GND on 10 - no changes.

Yes it's possible to use AT commands. Specs are here. 2005 is K750/W800

On some sevrice cables (RTS/DTR driven) - there are no problems at all - just plug it and it will work.
On 4-wires homemaden cables - there is a way too.
You have to:
1. turn off the phone
2. push power button (white screen appears)
3. plug fastport to phone quickly (until vibra acts)

When phone boots completely - you can send AT-commands to it/

P.S. Don't wait so long -plug fastport at the momet you see whitescreen. Phone detects cable on this step

Can i make a service cable 4 K700 using SERIAL T28 Cable(AND NOT the DCU-11)?

Can i make a service cable 4 my K750 , following Darkmen's instructions BUT using the T28 SERIAL Cable instead of DCU-11??
Foxen
Allright... Today I recieved my cheap china made DCU-11 copy and it modded flawlessly, worth to note here is that the original DCU-11 cable in it's newer revisions will not modify at all, it only crash your computer when you try and access the phone...

If you want an easily modifiable cable, go buy the cable they sell here: http://global.mobileaction.com

So you just know what wire you have Tx (for exampe) from box.

I did'nt change anything on USB connector.

I make some switches on my SE connector:
switch wire from pin 4 to 6
switch wire from pin 5 to 7
connect pin 9 and 11 tougether
don't remove cable from pin 10

Remove all other wires and pin connections.

I mean for a K750i... i connected the 8,9,10,and 11th pins just as the tutorial states, now what do i do with the usb thing or which end do i connect to which.

pin 1 - empty
pin 2 - empty
pin 3 - empty
pin 4 - empty
pin 5 - empty
pin 6 - empty
pin 7 - empty
pin 8 - RED
pin 9 - BLACK
pin 10 - GREEN
pin 11 - YELLOW
pin 12 - empty

now the USB end from the K700i cable has got RED BLUE WHITE and GREEN
What do i do with those?

OK.. let's say that I want to buy a modern DCU-11 cable as Grawp shows in his pictures.

CAN someoane show us how to mood the pins and wires in order to get a service cable?
I want to buy one DCU-11 in ordet to make myself service cable for k750i.

Darkmen... I would apreciate verry much if you can told me (us) how to modify this kind of cable. I want just
a service cable home made... and i think i have at my disposal only DCU-11 cable - modern looks with large SE plug.

Manny kisses in advance.

The cable you show pictures of is not the newest DCU-11 cable and can be modded, I have one of the newer revisions and it just won't be modded into a service cable, the most probable cause is that there is a small chip detecting the phone's "service mode" answer and shuts down communication. I modded my cable, triple checked everything twice and every time I tried to use the cable it would crash my computer. Conclusion: Newest SE DCU-11 is not moddable... Better get one of those cheap china made DCU-11 copies as they will mod very easily. My cable installs as "MAT USB to SERIAL bridge" and simply is a USB-T28 data cable...

Funny part is that i cannot buy from ebay. And I live in Europe - eastern part. So ... I don't know if someoane can deliver here.

I will check to see if someone has an old DCU-11 cable.

This cable should be moddable, look at the post above for correct pins to modify, it has the same chips as mine but not the same design so I guess it's a little older.
