Dear all,

I am a newbie to mobile flashing. I bought a W810i in UK from T-mobile, and it is locked with an extended lock. Now I moved to Germany and though the stupid guy at the counter told me that it will work with a T-mobile SIM from Germany, it doesn't. I tried an unlock code, but couldn't enter it.

Will flashing the firmware remove the lock? If so, how do I do it? Is there any howto somewhere that describes it? Can I do it with my USB cable?

From lots of browsing I think the important numbers are:
R4DB005 (I guess this is the firmware?)
and:
DB2010 (whatever this stands for).

Any help very much appreciated!

Thanks again. I tried now, but I am not successfull in getting the firmware - I allways bump into some chech or russian website where I don't understant a single word.
I seem to need the firmware R4DB005 generic HN. Any idea how I get it?

And then: Do I simply flash it? Or do I need to apply a patch before?

Many thanks!

Try going to www.iprotebe.cz too see if they have got the file.

Then you just flash it, you dont have to patch or mess around before flashing the MAIN.
