well pretty much the top speaker that you hear people through, in my w580i r8be001, has low volume. it's pretty hard to hear people. i have seen some posts saying to use peter's loud call pack but i cant find the downloads anywhere. also sometimes when the phone is closed, the ringtones don't play when someone calls me so i cant hear if someone is calling. i might have fixed that by taking off the patch that moved the acoustic driver to my memory stick, but i just want a second opinion to be sure in case it starts again. in case you're wondering, im using HYPER_INTENSE_ACOUSTIC_II and i deleted everything that was in the acoustic folder using xs++ and then added the acoustics if that makes any difference.

For a quick fix, you can get the original acoustics here.

Then with an eased mind that you have your original acoustics ready for backup, you can experiment with the acoustics you want.

for the slide phone( like 580) there is some difference in the acoutics..for the ringtone, there are 2 files for slide phones..one is the normal one and the other one when slide is closed... i think u dont hav the second file in ur modded acoustic..compare it with the original one.. u can find th difference.. that may be the prob..check it..

Hey my w580 have this same problem it was good but when i put new acoustic on it everything messed up it's very hard to hear ppls by phone when this happened i put my original acoustic but still it didn't help any help ?

Are you sure it got copied properly? Try copying it in a few times; sometimes it appears as if it was copied.

I'm getting the same exact problem you have every once in a while

i believe it may be firmware related ... i never got this when i was using r8ba024

Most of the acoustic tweaks are not designed for slider phones, as amith007 pointed out there are 2 files for calls and play (open & close).

My suggestions are:

1st, flash (Full Flash) your MAIN & FS file system to get the original contents. (if original acoustics don't work)

2nd, I'd like to believe on 1xinfusion's idea, it could be a firmware version problem, and those tweaked acoustics are not compatible with your current version on the phone.

I have noticed, actually a lot people have noticed the firmware compatibility issues with tweaked acoustics.

So, if you guys can make a full flash or revert to a better firmware that you know, then there is nothing wrong of doing it or trying it!
