I have a Sony ericsson w580i and my camera has been damaged somehow i think internally because it shows lines across the screen when taking a picture.

I want to send it back to sony ericsson but it has custom firmware on it and is debranded.

so what should i do?

Thanks.

sorry if i posted in the wrong section :/.

Well obviously flash back with branded firmware.

any idea exactly what orange (UK) branded firmware i should use?

Thanks.

Well technically, you could send it back with vodafone firmware unless the buttons change on branded W580 on vodafone.

Try to do a SEUS update, it might go back to branding if you did not change the CDA no while flashing.

But it will update your CID to CID53, if it is not already CID53, which makes it unpatchable.

But then again, sending it in for servicing may let them update it as well...
