Hi got a k800i here its db2020 and im wondering how i would go about debrading this phone, its already unlocked so thats fine.

I know i must use SEtools can anyone help me please with a links.

After reading that i understand you have two files


Main file and a

Fs file,


What ones should i download, do i have to have the ones matching my phone or any 2, do they have to be in pairs?


Also whats a Custpack is it somthing to do with your region, as im in UK.

Best to check to see what CID it is first (normally CID52 but SEUS is updating to CID53 plus most neew phones are CID53 now)

Download either setool2lite (must be 1.11 for db2020 - k800 etc) or XS++ 3.1

used XS++ to upgrade it and SEtools lite 1.11 to flash the main and fs and then use XS++ to fix the config error

Yes, but it depends on the firmware version (you might have to reflash it, but dont panic: its the same procedure for flashing (or debranding) your phone, except you are just using a different version number for the main and fs.) It also depends on your defination of "funky". For example, how about flashing the k800 to a k810 (use a k810 red CID52 main and same for fs, and dont forget the custom pack)? And thats just for starters......

With XS++, you can change the camera driver and the acoustics. Changing tyhe display driver is also possible, but 9 times out of 10 the best driver is the orginal. You can even change the menu and icons, and layout to no operator logo, no time or date, or both -- these mods are not firmware percific

The following mods, however, are (Im not exactly sure what firmware is best for patches) :
Patches: Apply with setool2lite 1.11 and add the QA patch (it makes it quicker in the long run to add patches). These change the way your phone behaves. There arre loads: change the battery colour, change the location of where you put acoustics to the format your video camera saves as (normally 3gp to mp4). Post for patches

Elves: these are small programs that need three patches to start, but installing them is as easy as copying a file to your memory card and phone. Again, theres loads of elves from one that takes screenshots to ones that allow you to change acoustics and camera drivers

If you want elves, I suggest you visit this topic first to see what firmware version has the elfpack library (thats just one of the patches you need to apply for elves)

but reflashing is no probs, is it worth flashing my phone to a k810?

K800 R8BF003 is said to be generally faster than most K810 firmwares although there isn't much of a difference.
You would only gain TrackID and Photofix, not big features at all.

You can find a few tutorials in the Tutorials & Guides Section of the Firmware forums.
