Full Version: K800 Sleep Mode White Screen

Hi

I flashed my K800i with appropriate firmware etc (R1CB001) using SETOOL. All seemed to have worked except I now have a white screen for Sleepmode. Not really fussed about colour except that it drains the battery. Used to get 7 days use without rechrge now don't even get a full 24 hours.

I also have the error in menu message on startup, but that can be clicked by and seems to have no other effect. I have tried changing replacing menu as suggested in the forums but that does not seem to have changed this.

Anyone tell me how to turn it back to black. (Simple steps please for a simple mind)

Thanks

How about flashing to the latest firmware (R8BF003)?

Hi

Thanks for reply.

Did that originally and got the problem. Went back to R1CB001 to see if it cured problem, it didn't. As both worked as well as each other did not see point of going back to (R8BF003) again.

Have you tried uploading an original display driver, try topse.ru in google translate, you have to register but you get good stuff.

Thanks, sounds like a good idea but the site does not seem to have K800 Display drivers

Managed to get a copy of display driver from another site. Flashed it using xs++, still got white sleep mode screen.

Thanks for the idea anyway.

Wait, the white screen with clock sleepmode is normal for K800.

It was black before I started and lasted over a week on standby before charge, now white and dosn't last a day.

Why don't you put no sleepmode screen?

Problem Solved

Thanks all.

When I turned clock off before, screen stayed white.

It appears that it is a combination of replacing the display driver with an oniriginal version, thanks steadyontherem8, followed by turning clock off, thanks phonetech, solved the problem.

This noob now has a working phone

Thanks all who tried to help
