How do i change R6BC002 to R8BA024 on my S500i @ w590i phone?

Its exactly the same procedure as flashing your phone to w580, except this time youre looking for that firmware (like I said in your post about the elves)

Your best starting point is iprotebe.cz, and seeing if they have that main. If so, download it. Then find the FS to match your firmware, and match it for your region (this is where your XS++ log comes in handy!) if they match then download that. Next, unzip all that you downloaded, start XS++, connect your phone, tick customize main, FS (file system) and custumization pack. Use the new main as the main, the new FS as the fs, and select one of the preinstalled custom packs that XS++ has for your phone, that matches the region for your FS

Job done, then youre away with getting elves and patches!

However, if you cannot find the correct region for your phone in that firmware, there IS another firmware you could try if you want to elf your phone.

Well, sorry if it seems harsh, but everytime the post writer seems to have a problem with their phone, they seem to make a new topic about it. This is the third topic I know about that they have done (first it was what would happen if they flash their phone to w580, then it was about elves for the same phone, then this one (I guess I sparked this one off in a way: I told them to change their firmware in the one about the elves.) Surely though they could of stuck to the same topic?????)

Whats next? A new topic saying that they cant find the firmware? I might start taking bets on that

If they used search in the first place, they would see that the firmware he originally flashed does not have patches for elves, so then yes then they could of put a post up asking what the benefits are, and where to get the firmware for elf support

Get R8BE001, its the firmware for w580 being actively developed. ElfPack exists for R8BE001 AND R8BA024, SysGFX exists for only R8BE001.

Thats the other firmware I noticed that could have elves, I didnt realise theres more patches for it than the other one, or that its being developed.

So that one would be the better of the two then
