Just recently bought a w880i and then I saw this forums and I'm interested in modding my phone
Followed the newbie instructions, got some needed applications.

I'd like to know things I need to do, such as flash, or something else.
Best firmware files like the main, FS and custpack, and where to find em, thanks if someone would like to provide me the links.
Things I can do to mod my phone, like patches, layout, replacing gfx, elf, best camdrivers, acoustics, etc.
And how to do it. Step by step tutorials would be nice.
Or maybe someone can redirect me to a person who's good at it, especially w880 experts.

Just read some tutorials that have XS++ or setool2lt in the name in the Firmware Tutorials and Guides section first. Also the Newbie helper guide that is pinned.
Things I can do to mod my phone, like patches, layout, replacing gfx, elf, best camdrivers, acoustics, etc.
You can do all that easily. Patches, look for applying patches with setool2lt or the same for jdflasher in the tutorials section.

For elves there is a tutorial in the tutorials section, cam drivers, I'm not sure.

So I've made a few changes: 
• Flashed Main and added quick access patch. Using setool2lite.
• Replaced the GFX with the Dr. Uberveguad's Pack 6.
• Changed the Fonts and Layout.
• Added some FlashMenus and Walkman Skins.
So, anything I missed?
I still can't understand about elf...
And I'm still looking for patches for my phone but the ones i found are Russians, I can't read Russians.

Actually I spent a night at this forums before I decided to mod my phone.
BTW, how do I remove a patch?
in setool2lite simply upload the patch and then press YES.
In Far manager do everything like patching the patch, but in the windows after pressing "copy" mark "remove patch".

Next is for the gfx patches.
If I already patched a pack, in my case it's Dr. Uberveguad's w880 pack6, and I want to apply a new gfx patch, but its a smaller pack such as battery gfx only, what happened to the previous gfx patch icons (other than the battery)?
Do I need to remove the last patch 1st or just apply the new patch (overwrite)?

donor images you have to use if your icons filesize's too big.

If you know with which Program a patch was written, you can open the whole patch in the correct Image-replacer.
Just like a project-file.

I know em just a lil from reading, kinda interested cuz i think it'd be nice to customize my standby screen without having to edit the layout.xml (i think it'll be easier that way... of course after i can install it tho)
