Hello,

I have a w580i that I've just flashed. I'm trying to install some flash menus on it, and I understand I need to use XS++ to do so.

When I try to run the exe file, I get the following error message pop-up:

QUOTE
XS++.exe Application Error

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on OK to terminate the application.

I've tried running different versions of XS++, as well as upgrade my NET Framework to 3.5. I read somewhere that could be the issue.

No luck running the app yet.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Ritesh

WinXP Pro SP3

Hmm

Works fine on xp sp2 confused.gif

Actually, I tried it prior to installing SP3. So on my end, it doesn't work on SP2 either.

It's a strange problem. I've tried googling it, with almost no one facing the same problem for XS++.

Is there an alternate program I can use to install flash menus on my w810i?

Hmm. The only other thing I can think of is that your version of XP is 64 bit, rather than 32 bit

Either that or its a bad download, so download it again

Or try dragging the message out of the way.

OR try putting the app to one of your drives' root. Like D:\XS\ or C:\XS\

It could also be that your xs++ copy is corrupted. Try downloading without a download accelerator.

Nope. I'm on 32 bit WinXP, not 64. Tried downloading it multiple times from different websites.. all giving me the same error msg.

The software doesn't open at all, so no point dragging the msg out of the way.

Tried putting the app in other directories, including c:\ to no avail.

Hmm.. seems like everyone is out of ideas. I'll try running it off of another computer...
