I have a w580i with AT&T, and I don't pay for the internet/data plan, but there's a button on my phone that connects to the browser and it keeps getting pushed in my pocket.

I plan on trying to debrand my phone and all of that to disable it, but I was wondering if anyone knew if that would work? or if you believe it'd be possible to do?

but there should be the key for activity menu.

i dont think that deleting internet settings bring something.

just flash your phone with generic firmware and the problem will gone.

well if he doesnt have internet settings,he cant go browsing the internet

perhaps he uses internet or MMS sometimes.

deactivating internet is not the solution, the solution is to kill this key.

Well, surely its possible to assign the activity menu to the internet button? For crying out loud, you can assign a button (or, should I say, the movement of the joystick up) on the w200 to activity menu

Im sure you just need to add a modded menu.xml??? Thats how its done on a genric w200 anyway

W810 also has a key assigned to activity menu. Might take a look at the menu.xml on that.

BUT surely the EASIEST way to stop the button working whilst your phone is in your pocket is to lock the keypad? Im suprised you havent called someone yet

1: Flash ur phone and get a better phone experience ( is so worth it)

or

2: Set the automatic keylock so it wont get pushed.

i did the flashing, its now the shortcut menu.....
