Last night I attempted (for roughly the umpteenth time) to flash unbrand+unlock my K800, all was going well...I thought until the last part of the process. When I applied the unlock patch (got from simox VKP) it acted as thought it was completed just fine, now my fone will not switch on at all, no lights of any colour, not activity at all.

Flash the MAIN with your previous version..
I thought your failure because of wrong patch version... AFAIK, different MAIN version means different patch version too...
So be careful next time..

Thanks for the tip, when you say reflash with my previous version do you mean the GDFS backup or do I have to find and dowload an branded Orange main Flash?

and reflash ur phone no need to mess with the gdfs u will end up with a brick

I definitely cheched the box and added the main file in the dialogue screen when I was doing the flash. I used XS++ to try and debrand it and then SETool to unlock it which is what the tutorial i got said to do.

in setool2lite u forgot to add the main...to unlock u first need to add the main, select your phone,mark bypass db2020 security and add in misc the quick access patch, after everything its done u need to click on clear then unmark bypass db2020 security and mark use quick access patch,add in misc the unlock patch and click on write script...i can see in the log that u marked bypass db2020 and added in misc the unlock patch, and thats not the way its done. now u need to reflash it and do as i sed

Ok, thanks for the advice, I will try that over the weekend and hopefully at least get my fone back to life, even if I dont manage to unlock it!

I forgot to take a copy of the quick access patch home with me over the weekend, but I did the other steps and my fone at least turns on again now! Thanks for the help!!!!!

Thats easy: drag your main to the QA maker program then patch that to your phone

Should work, then you can add patches to it using the QA patch

Thanks for all the help guys, I finally managed to repair my phone and get it unlocked!! Now I just have to decide if Im confident enough to try it again with my new K810

Depends on how new your k810 is: if its brand new it might be cid53 (currently flashable with JD flasher only: no patching at the moment, but acoustics and camera driver can be changed etc)

Or, if its second hand, it might be CID52 or below (same as the phone you just done)

I would run it through either XS++ or setool2lite and find out what the CID is
