okay, i've looked around and think i have a pretty good idea what i need to do.

i can't find any w580i main/fs files or anything for the firmware R3A022.. it's CID52 Red.
just so i understand, it doesn't matter what firmware i get as long as they all match, right?

and if so, what's the best one? (most amount of files out there?)

actually i think it does matter. wat firmware version do u have? (when u connect to XS++ the log has all ur phones info)

ex: my version is R7AC001 and RED, and i live in US so i would have to download those specific things. im not an expert at this, but i managed to successfully flash my phone.

R3A022 is EROM version. It is NOT your firmware.
the things that should match are EROM color and CID.
As your phone is CID52 Red, you need firmware with RED52 in its name. One possible example is this

Main: W580_R8BE001_MAIN_GENERIC_LA_RED52.mbn
FS: W580_R8BE001_FS_CENT_EUROPE_RED52.fbn

Here R8BE001 is firmware version, its the latest for w580. Custompack depends on your FS. for above mentioned FS, you need Generic_Cent_Europe custom pack.
