Can the imei of a w580i be changed by flashing or debranding?

also, for the imei, I looked on the back of the phone (under the battery) and saw a number same as the imei i get from the phone by typing *#06#. However, when i check the imei by typing that in, I get 2 more digits after the 15 digits i get from the back of the phone. Are those 2 numbers included in the imei?

from what i know...imei is a unique for each phone and its GDFS...never ever ever ever ever write others GDFS to ur phone coz it only gonna lead ur phone to a total death!ive xperienced it...the only thing i can do is just took it to SESC...n it cost me alot of money!! (but sum1 said to me that it can be done w/o took it to SESC..i just donno how) flashing phone doesnt meant it gonna change ur phone's imei..it just like u r currently a user of windows xp sp1..then u upgrade it to windows xp sp2...it just that u r upgrading ur phones ability in handling flashing n other stuffs...

about dat 15 digits number..i never know about it...

as mucha_wan said , each phone has it's own IMEI , and changing it would be illegal and might brick your phone FOR GOOD...
