Full Version: How Can I View and Edit K800i System Files?

I need to change one of the language packs, and I found a tutorial on this on Google. But it does not tell you how to actually put the language pack into the phone. I need to somehow edit the protected system files in the phone. I tried XS++ but it said my phone isn't compatible.

I used SEUS once but I don't think I completed the update. How do you know if the phone has been updated? I did what it said but it still kept telling me to turn my phone off, and press c while attaching the USB cable. But I disconnected before anything could happen, so I hope I didn't update it to a new firmware.

If I did happen to update it to a firmware which is not "hackable" is it possible to flash the phone back to its old firmware or something?

Have you installed the flash drivers? smile.gif

What flash drivers? How do I get them?

EDIT: OK I found a tutorial, but when I take out the battery and sim card, then reinsert them, then press and hold C while plugging in the USB cable, nothing happens... There is no hardware driver install alert? Can't I just plug in the phone while it is on, then install it then?

I got a problem, when I turn off my phone and take out sim and battery, then replace battery, and press C and plug in my USB, the computer doesn't seem to know that I plugged it in. Nothing happens.

Have you installed the flash drivers that 'steady' pointed you at because it seems very strange that XS++ was saying that your phone isnt compatible (which is usually fixed by installing flash drivers) and now it isnt saying anything at all. confused.gif

If it says it isn't compatible most likely, he has CID53 and needs to use FAR and jdflasher.
