Hi, i'm a noob and want to unlock my phone, which firmware should I use?

convert it to w660 cid 52 any firmware which have the most paches available...

if you do not want to convert it to a w660 because of the bugs then u need cid52 firmware, i used R1KG001 with an unlock patch when i did mine and no probs

hi everyone,

this is my first time trying to unlock a phone, so please be gentle with me.
i have a K610i which is locked to 3 network (in UK).

i downloaded SEtool2 (Lite Edition) v1.11 and clicked identify button and followed instructions

I know i need to download the firmware from somewhere to unlock the phone but was unable to find the R1CD001 version on this site.

Where can I find a step-by-step guide to unlocking using SEtool?
Where can I find the exact firmware version? If not, can I use a different firmware and still be able to use the phone?
I am not keen to de-brand the phone, but just want to unlock it so I can use a different (non-3) simcard with it.

You can find it on the site which is linked from here (just scroll down and click "Firmware Files").
You don't need to use R1CD001, you can use any K610 CID52 firmware.
There's a patching tutorial for CID52 phones on that linked site as well. I'm sure there's one here, too, just have a look at the tutorials section.

So I can use the "K610im_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_RI_RED52" firmware and "K610im_R1ED001_FS_I_MODE_1_RED52" file system from the seusers.com website then?
