Hello all.
I am new to the SE customising and at the moment find it slightly overwhelming.

I have a K800i which is locked to Three and I am trying to unlock/debrand it using this guide.
However, I am a little confused regarding the custom packs. I have got the K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED52 and K800_R8BF003_FS_EUROPE_2_RED52 from here.
But I'm not quite sure what custom pack to use. I will most likely be flashing my phone with XS++, and understand the flashing procedure.

If you connect to XS++ enter your phone type you have access to a drop down list of custonisation packs
you need to find one compatible with your chosen firmware. Have you created a patch in Simox PatchGenerator which you can use with setool? I dont know how much you know so I would suggest you go here http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=29591 really worth reading as it is a great tutorial by WizaJ with links to other expert information. If you still have questions just ask again, And make sure you back up GDFS first happy flashing.

I have already backed up my GDFS with both XS++ and SEtool.
I have created the patch and am trying to patch it as said here.

However, I tried this last night and nothing happened, it remained with three's firmware, so I presume that did something wrong. I added the Main, FS and patch in the correct areas of SEtool.

I have followed the instructions for installing the custom pack in XS++ and I have sucessfully unlocked and debranded my phone.

Haha, just like my iPod though, once you start modding you can't stop.

I think I might enjoy this modding community.
