My W850i is completely dead after i tryd to flash it. Dead meens i cant even start it..So i cant reflash it. Any suggestions ??

You should be able to reflash it. Have you even tried it yet?

Use the right files for your phone, that's all.

I know you said it's completely dead, but flashing always works.

a xs++ log or more detail would be helpful, does the infrared port light flash when you try to turn it on????

What did you actually flash it with? software, firmware etc. is there any sign of life Red light? its like 'number1' says without more information its hard to help:)

I got it running. Didnt use it for about 2 hours and then it started to "work" so i could reflash it....

I am very new to this site. I owned an unlocked w850i and always update via SEUS no problem. The last update it failed halfway. Then ask to retry. So i did. Each time i tried again, it went up to 2% and failed. At this point, I cannot even turn on my cell phone. I found this site and used xs++ and able get the phone SEMC profile:

sounds like your GDFS may hav been corrupted. i hope u made i back up of your gdfs if not u may hav killed ur phone for good

this is my phones details, can anyone help please, i really don't want to have to send my phone back to SE, this must be a common problem as i have found many cases like this on the forums but have not yet been able to recover my phone.

Try d/l & use SETOOL LITE to identify it...if it is able to be identified mean its not totally dead...all u need is the correct Main & FS + Cust Pack to revive it..Best Of Luck..

Well, from his log, it looks like XS++ discovered it and it looks fine.

Try re-flashing

If the screen turns white, when you start the phone, and remains so, then you have a GDFS problem (to make clear).

If you try to turn on, and nothing happens, check the IR port, or (at W880 and other), at the ON/OFF button, if it flashes 6 times, you have EROM problem.


Anyway, DON'T upgrade your firmware with SEUS, it turns it to CID53, that makes it (for the moment), not mod-able.

File manipulation within the file system is still possible, so you can still change acoustics, etc. But you cannot patch.
