Full Version: Earpiece Volume During Calls

My W810 has pretty low volume during calls. I know, that i could change the acoustic files in it, and it would make it louder, but it would make the phone sound different, witch i do not want right now.

So my question is:

A - Can someone give me an acousetic file, which only affects volume during call and nothing else?
or
B - Point me toward an info source about acoustic files, their structure, how make and/or modify them?

Thank you very much in advance!

Yeah i have read about that, but i would need only moderate volume up, i do not want the neighbours to hear my calls. Besides hyper_t does bass enhancement too - if i know correctly - which i do not want. Also hyper_t consist lots of files, and i do not now which one is responsible for in call volume. Thanks for the reply btw!

I was in the same boat awhile back. I had a W810i, and I upgraded earpiece volume and handsfree/earphone drivers to ToShaRa's custom v1.6 pack (which I highly recommend, it doesn't have "boomy" bass like the other packs). I however, did not want my back speaker to be affected, so I didn't install that driver.

This is the thread that I followed: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=8030&hl=

It explains which drivers are for what, so just read over that and I think that should help you. cheers!

Thank you! This is best the solution for me wink.gif I do not know how could i be so stupid to not find it by myself... doh.gif

Edit:
Well i made some experiments with the apf file -> no luck sad.gif I was able to change the microfon volume, but that too was a failure, because with the original value it was just a bit low, after changing it from 3 to 4 it was way too loud (according to my girlfriend, who helped to test it).

As for receiving volume: i tried the values 0,2,3,4 and 6, and did not notice anything.
I changed RXVOL1 and MIC1_TXGAIN only.

Any suggestions?

Strange thing happened today; i did not restore the original apf files, and when my brother called, he was indeed louder! What i don't understand, why was i hearing my girlfriend yesterday at low volume? I restarted my phone after changing the apf file, and since then i did nothing with it (i mean it was ON during the night, and no more changes to firmware or sys files)! Why now? I guess i should try again with my girlfriends phone to see, that in that case too, the call got louder...
