Hi everyone :] I have a W810i that I've had for about 2 years now and I've never had any problems with it. I changed the casing about 6 months ago, all went well etc.

Suddenly last night the phone keypad light and screen would goe of after 15 secs like it's set to, and the walkman player kept coming up by it's self.

So I turned the phone of to restart it but I've not been able to get it to start since! Not everytime but sometimes it will flash a white screen once and the top infer red light will flash for a bit, but then that's it and it stops. I can't seem to connect it to the PC and when I put it on charge it flashs the white screen again but then goes dead again.

I've tried new battery as well as sim card with no luck and I've also took it apart and wiped the parts and put it together again but it's still doing the same thing :/ I've not flashed my phone or anything so it's not messed up because of that.

Can anyone help me as I miss my phone and can't really afford a new one, plus I'm waiting to hear back from people abouts jobs so it's not good at all! lol. I will actually love you forever if you can help me! mwah x

reflash it with xs++

A blinking red light typically means erom is corrupted (or battery is empty). Try flashing a new EROM to your phone (get them at topsony.com, access is free to EROM downloads) or by repairing it using SeTool (use unlock/repair button).

do you know of a simple tutorial on how to flash my phone as i've always been nervous to do it because of the chance of breaking the phone. also don't you need to be able to connect the phone to PC? Because I can't do that? thanks for the help though :] x

Erm, I just tried to connect my phone to xs++ and nothing happened, it couldn't detect the phone? Is there any way around this? Gr, just wish I knew how to fixx this! x

connect to setools2lite with 2+5

Hi I tried connect to setool2lt but it still won't connect :/ and also now it doesn't seem to be flashing a white screen or get a red light on it. Anyone know how I can fix it?! x

Hiya just an update - My brother has the same phone as me and when he put's my battery in his phone he just get's the red led light BUT when I out his working battery in my phone, it dosn't work. So what can the problem be? is it something inside that could have got shifted? But why would my battery not be working on his phone then? Hmm, I still can't get it to connect to the computer at all either.

This is very weird Never saw this problem before. Hmm, let's start by beginning. Do you installed USB Flash Drivers?? They're needed to flash your phone. Download here: http://www.4shared.com/get/41539312/ecf1cd...ash_driver.html Now try connecting it to XS++ and try to flash new EROM (tutorial here: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=19840 , get erom from topsony, no need to pay for it just register). Maybe connecting it to Setool and then unlock/repair will do the job.

It can also be the problem is on the hardware side, because red light does also means your battery is out of energy or battery error. Since putting your brother's battery in your's doesn't work maybe it's your phone hardware problem. Try to clean the battery connectors and try putting one of the batteries in your phone. What was the last thing you did since your phone is broken?

Edit: to install USB flash, connect it, windows will popup hardware found. Choose not to automatically find a driver. Then select install from a specified location (advanced) and choose directory with usb flash. Now drivers will install. After installation disconnect your phone and try above.

Hi I tried to install the drivers, when it popped up it said USB drivers not reconised so I clicked and went to install the drivers you posted put when I install them it says something like 'the best possible drivers are already installed for this device' :/ but when I try and connect the phone it comes up with that USB error saying it's malfunctioned and windows doesn't reconise it.

The last thing I did with my phone was just used it as I normally do, I took it from my room downstairs as I was watching TV and then it started opening walkman player by itself and stuff so went to restart the phone and it's not been on since x

Did you hold C while plugging in cable? If you don't, the phone just doesn't nothing. I think the reason Windows said is because you have already drivers for the phone (like for syncing or transferring files) but not the USB Flash Drivers. You need to click connect in XS++, then insert cable in PC, then hold C on the phone, and while holding C button connect the cable and wait for about 3 seconds and then release the button. Then install the drivers and after installation disconnect your phone and press disconnect in XS++. Then do the same again, but this time Windows won't popup found new hardware wizard and it will be found by XS++. Alternatively in case holding C doesn't work try to hold 2+5 buttons.

And if the above works, is the next step getting your phone back to life.
First of all, download erom from http://share2flash.com/file/7411 (to find out the CID you need, look at XS++ log when you connect it)
Then, try this tutorial: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=19840
Follow especially the part about "Repairing with XS++". If that doesn't work, try the part about "Repairing with SeTool". And if you're done on flashing EROM, then try to flash the MAIN firmware and FILESYSTEM.
Download firmware R4DB005 and filesystem R4DB005 EUROPE_3 (this is for languages English - Danish - Dutch - French - German).

Also, which version of XS++ and setool are you using?

try with the other usb port....connect the cable and with c pressed...wait for the installation...
