If I wanna apply quick access patch. Do I need to flash MAIN, FS or add custpack?
Also, when I want to make quick access patch using 'qmaker', it says unsupported header version. It also says that it's for db2020 but my w300i is db2010. Where can I get quick access patch then?
Can I totaly kill my phone when I do something wrong while appling patches?
My phone is R4EA031. Can I use patches what are for R9A036? Patch name is ams_to_others_w300_R9A036. It says that it's for w300. So, does this work?
One more thing. W300i display is 128x160 px. Can I use 178x220 px flash menus? Does this screw up my phone?

You need the main. http://www.akshayy.com/sonyericsson/tutori...-db2010-phones/

Apparently there is no quick access patch, you just patch immediately.

You might kill your phone if you press Write GDFS instead of Write script when patching.

No, you need that firmware version.

No, you need 176x220 screen.

You don't need any of those because DB2010 phones don't need the QA Patch.
You can brick your phone with a bad patch, but a quick MAIN flash should fix it.
You cannot use a patch for another firmware on your firmware, even if the phone model is the same. Patches are phone and firmware specific.
You cannot use larger flash menus on your smaller screen size. wink.gif

Oh, thanks a lot. But where can I get patches now? I only have like 5 patches that I can use. I really want patch for radio without headset...

Well, I have new problem now. Far has frozen or something. I wanted to copy new camera drivers but at 75% it has frozen. speed: 0kb/s. What should I do? Just X close far?

//Nvm, I just closed it and copied cam drivers again.
Btw, I googled a little and almost all R4EA031 patches are for w810i. Can I also use them?

No you can't only patches for your phone and firmware can be used. Why don't you upgrade to R9A036?

Erm, How do I upgrade? What files I need?
WizaJ
You need the R9A036 MAIN file, and you need to use a flashing app such as XS++
You can find the R9A036 file at topse.ru, register there and check the firmware, or maybe steady will do it for you, coz I really hurt my finger and I'm avoiding mouse clicks sad.gif

Oh, that's shounds easy. But I think I stay with R4EA031. Cause I found elfpack_v10_w300_r4ea031.vkp. Patching took 10 minutes. But now my phone doesnt start up. White - black - vibrates one time - stays white. Ahh... Gonna delete this.

Sorry to hear. Is bone broken? Cause my friend played volleyball and he managed to hit ball wrong and buum... Bone was broken.

Oh, try reflash again then.

Deleted this patch. Everything is working fine now. I downloaded most of the patches from mobilefree.ru and only some of them worked. Like 'camdriver to other' disabled my camera tongue.gif

Well, thanks to You guys, I am learned a lot. Without You I would killed my phone for sure. So, thank you very much for wasting Your time to my stupid questions tongue.gif
