Hey Guys, I was just hoping someone who is a little more knowledgeable on the subject of rebranding phones could give me a hand on this.

The senario is : Color blind side leds, several cracked keys, left menu key is cracked and when i press it it won't do anything. I think im due for some keys to fall off soon too . I am going to bring it in to rogers to be sent in for repair. However I think that rebranding first would be a good idea.

I made a backup of the gdfs when i debranded the phone before. My brother has the same model of phone which we purchased at the same time, I was wondering if i could extract the rogers branded firmware from his phone and then put it on mine. I am having a very hard time sourcing out a rogers firmware, and or custpack. I dont know if wotan offers rebranding but i would pay for that if its a) the only way or b) going to be a lot easier then spending months looking for the files i need ( i have been looking for a while) .

Uh oh, I can't find custom pack. You could try and extract firmware kind of using this as a guideline: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=27086 but I don't know if the codes are the same for W580i. They probably aren't, so don't try it until an expert comes or you could just send it back.

You don't know! He's not in UK. Rogers is a service provider but it's not in UK.

I got them from my friend's phone by bluetooth transfering.

You flash the FS America_1 and MAIN Generic firmware before you install the Rogers custompack.
