Hi,

I'm new to this forums and I'm planning to flash some patches to my phone (it's a T-Mobile Netherlands branded K750 CID49) using XS++. I've read you need to finalize (customize?) the firmware after flashing, and that you need a custpack to do that. Now, my problem is I can't find a custpack for my phone's CDA (CDA102338/151). Do I really need such a "custpack"? Or can I just download and flash generic FS (europe_3) and then finalize it with generic custpacks? Or are custpacks integrated with XS++?

Thank you for help, I'm very interested in flashing my phone but never done before since this is my first Sony Ericsson phone.

Edit: Well it seems custpacks are nothing more than just a zip file containing some certificates and some preinstalled content such as sounds and images and so on. I noticed also the customize.xml, can I just modify this to match my phone's CDA?

Yeah you can download fs europe 3, you just need main generic and a europe 3 custom pack. I think XS++ does have intergrated custom packs for K750. Custom packs are needed otherwise you get a configuration error.

Thanks for information. Would it also work when I created one by myself, since they are not more then a bunch of XML files? And when I start flashing, does the flasher access the EROM / EEPROM so there could be a risk of bricking my phone?

Does anyone out here have download access to that site? Please I need it, I can even provide you with FTP server if necessary to host it on.

I think I'm just gonna flash the generic ones, since my phone is then debranded and I really won't need all the T-Mobile crap. My phone has also got a simlock and I read something about a VKP generator to remove the simlock (http://www.topsony.com/forum/showthread.ph...57483#post57483). Would this work with my phone?

I have been looking to do the W200i since Thursday. The outcome depends if your phone is DB2012 CID52, which apparently they are.

If so, it CAN'T be done.

I have an ongoing question awaiting reply...where I have asked if I can reflash the phone to a different firmware i.e. R4JA011 will I then be able to remove simlock? See thread How do I unlock W200i?

If it is NOT unlocking you want then it appears you may be able to DEBRAND the phone?
