my w580i recently turned off and wont come back on. when i press the power button i just get a red light on the C button. From what i seen on other sites this is a pretty common problem, it seems from what i have found that the only thing to do is send it to sony?. Anything i can do to fix it?

I think ur GDFS is dead,can be repaired. I never did that so I can't advice you about it.

could be gdfs, erom or firmware

I have the same problem and I have a GDFS Backup. How can I fix it? It's the second time it happened and the first time I returned the phone and bought a new one. Please I need help on how to fix my phone. I tried clearing/repairing the EROM with WOTAN but it doesn't let me do it. Any help? Thanks!

Yes and I only get the same three flashing lights. But I know my battery has over 80% life on it.

So the battery flat is ruled out. Other will have to help you. =X

Use Sony Ericsson Update Service. It's easy to use and has a user friendly interface.

Any updates on CID53 EROM repair , red blinking light. SEUS updated my w580i to CID53.
