Hi, I'm a newbie with patching phones,
I have a W300i
Firmware version: R4EA031
1. Where can i find a REST file for this version. so after patching it doesn't downgrade to the now available rest_W300_R9A036 that's been included in the db2010cid49_4_alpha.rar??

2. Also, could i use the SEUS to update to the latest version after patching? If yes, would the update undo any patches i apply??
Plz suggest a workaround for this problem
Thanks> smile.gif

I'm not sure if the REST file exists for this firmware.
Although I'll ask my good friend Wally_dog to generate one for should that be the case wink.gif

If you use SEUS you WILL lose patches. In fact, if you flash new firmware on any phone, the patches will also be removed, except for those that write patches outside of the phones firmware.

Here you go, rest files of all variants of R4EA031 and R9A036, just extact it in rest folder, inside setool distribution folder.

Thanks a lot for your help. smile.gif
I jus had an idea, Do i also need an ssw specific for my firmware? I have a file named w300_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw which i got from db2010cid49_4_alpha.rar. Will this work for my firmware R4EA031 CXC1123260?
and what about the bootscript files? Will the ones available with the SEFP ie w300_w810_z550_cid49 work fine?
I'm just being extra cautious coz this is my first time with flashing.
Thanks.
