can somebody please help restoring my erom cid52 red of my k610i.
I have tried several programs but don't succeed with c++, settoollite or seeking

and if none of them methods work then you will need a service cable to flash the erom with xs++3.1.

I am now trying far manager, however I don't see the phone list after pressing F11 as is shown in the instructions. I do get the option DCU-60 cable and I can choose speed. What am I doing wrong?

you can't flash a k610's erom using far+sepf, far + sepf is for cid:36 erom flashing read the guide properly.

thnx for the answer, I read it properly and seeing nothing works some people try something else since CID incompatibility doesn't make my k610i more dead It seems that the downloadable erom for red cid52 does't work eventhough xs3.1 does all the tricks.
Are there no other options than byuing another cable?

erom3a016????, post up a xs++ log and i'll tell you what erom you need.

.rar is a archive like .zip it's NOT a erom file the erom is inside the .rar file you must extract it first, you can use http://www.7-zip.org/ if you don't already have a .rar archiever.

In the beginning the phone switched off by itself and one day it displayed a fast flashing red light at ir port, the phone wouldn't start up. When trying to connect to my pc the phone wasn't recognized. I downloaded usb drivers installed them and hereafter the phone was recognised by my pc. I tried to flash with almost all the methods mentioned in the tutorial section and only xs3.1 does something reproducable.
When I turn on the phone now it vibrates and gives a flashing white screen.

btw I had unrarred the file

you clearly havn't unrared the file or maybe you just make a mistake and selected the wrong file

I had and have done it again, same result. The .bin file is properly displayed, do I need to mount it first in a virtual drive?

no you don't mount nothing, just put the .bin in the main box in xs++ and press flash.

no the erom file is fine now k610_RED_CID52_R3B021_EROM_FOTA.bin as it should be, whathappens when you try to power the phone on now, red light in the infra-red port??? whitescreen??? or both.

I have downloaded 7-zip to unzip and now there is no error message anymore, the bin file is loaded. The phone however blinks with an annoying white screen.

this weekend I only managed to spend time in bed being hit by a nasty virus, so I have searched this morning for the needed 3 files on your suggested URL's but couldn't find the right language pack (europe_3) for R1JG001. I did however find 3 files which are a match and includes central europe language which contains English. If I flash with these 3 files can I later change only the language pack? Or will that happen if I do an official update via SE?

LOL the phone is back alive!!! Everything seems to be working, although in English.
