Hey I've been reading forums for about an hour already and I'm still kind of confused on what to do first. So here are a few questions I have and hopefully it'll give me a kick start on modding my phone.

1. After flashing my firmware with this tutorial: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=23459 does that allow me to use any mp3 file as a ringtone or do i still need to patch something?

2. After flashing my phone that allows me to install custom themes?

3. What's a elfpack?

4. anyother great tutorials or websites you can refer me to for my w580i?

5. is flashing the same as debranding?

6. how can I play recorded sounds or mp3 while on the phone?

1. You phone can use the flash menu, and mp3 ringtones after you debrand it.

2. You mean flash menus, yes to all.

3. Elfpacks is like a patches, but they're more easier.

4. Yes, just google search.

5. Well yeah. If you phone is branded (like T-Mobile, Vodafone, Rogers, etc...), you can debrand it by flashing.

6. The recorded sound always save in the Music folder, you can play it.
