Full Version: How to Remove All Patches in a W800?
SE-NSE Forums > SE Firmware > Newbie Forum

Is there a way to clean a w800 of patches? Because there are patches that go beyond the main&fs flashing area and you can't just unpatch them because they give a missmatch message when they're applyed.
one example is the bookman with masterpatch. I can't remove it even after a FULL reflash (change color of cid and put new main and fs), because I see it in master midlet even after all this reflashing.

Thanks for any kind of suggestions!

Its IMPOSSIBLE... After RE-FLASHING, ur phone's new.....

ELSE, RESTORE UR GDFS....

n ALSO CHOOSE FIRMWARE WHICH MATCHES WITH UR CID NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

try to flash your main firmvare using setool..open setool chose your model press add -add your main and in misc files open the patch u have maked with qmaker......then your phone will be free from patches........

I have cid36 so I can't use setool. I usualy use GFlash to flash my phone, but even after all the reflasing, I put master patch and all the other patches in, except bookmanager, and when I start master midlet, surpise: bookmanager still in my phone, not that it actualy works, but I just can't stand seeing it there

Unpatch bookmanager patch with the same file you use to patch before, ignore any mismatch warning. Then flash the main again.

As far as I know, APAC firmware is greater in size than the EMEA one... so I was thinking to flash APAC - to clean that area, and then reflash back to EMEA. I'm willing to do this because some patches from R1BD001 do not work for me, so I'm thinking that the previously installed R1BC002 patches are the cause of this.

What do you think?

That good idea. APAC version have 2MB bigger than EMEA version. That should clean your bookmanager left-over patch.
