I am so confused. My phone (w300i) has a WSOD because I dropped it. I read that someone with the same problem flashed theirs and it fixed it.

I flashed mine and it would not work. It is still branded and I cannot get SEUS to update the firmware. (It says that it is currently up to date, but I've had the phone for over a year...and it's never been updated laugh.gif) I found somewhere on the forums that SEUS will not update bc the phone is still branded? Is this true?

Any help would be appreciated. When I flashed, it said it flashed properly, but the External Screen still messes up and the Internal Screen has a WSOD. I backed up my GDFS--but I'm also not worried about bricking my phone, as I have another.

Any ideas? Thanks laugh.gif I appreciate it. In the meantime, I'm going to go read more tutorials...maybe I missed a step.

Actually, FLASHING thru SEUS wont help!!!! Do it manually (By using XS++ & following firmwares)
http://www.iprotebe.cz/firmware-w300-cid49.

It may restore ur phone....

Regards!!!

Ha ha, thank you.

Ok, flashing was successful, but I'm still having the same problem, just "less" of it. Any ideas? I'd love to figure this out... Here's the code:

since you dropped the phone this is clearly a hardware problem, open up the phone and check the ribbon flex cable thing check it's not ripped or lose or anything.

Search for W300 on Youtube smile.gif ,I am sure you will find something, and getting an T6 and some other screwdrivers would help too, opening Phones is so easy if you have the tools and a bit of technical and mechanical skills(opened many phones without any guide, all still working ), good luck smile.gif

Thanks

I found a nice little dismantling tutorial now I just need a T6...can't seem to find one and reluctant to buy.

I'm thinking now, it is either the ribbon cable or the LCD itself, and if I can get my hands on a cheap w300 to use as replacement parts, I'm pretty sure I can fix it like new.

buy a T6. theyre not expensive.

id recommend a power drive T6 bit for se with an electric screwdriver. More torque and less chance of ringing the little screws!

I bought a brand new lcd and ribbon today with a T6 so it should be here in a few days. I'm so excited, because once I get it up and running like new, I'm totally modding it out.
