Hi this is my very first problem in se-nse forums. I have w810i RED CID 49. I searched the forum and found ways to replace CamDriver, Acoustics and Flash menus. Thanks to the people who are in here. Now I want to apply some skins for the Walkman. I found that this process needs sysgfx patch to be installed (And it's for the firmware R4EA031 ) So I first checked the configuration of my phone using xs++ and setool2lt and also using ">*<<*<*" but found the above two strings in there. Now I'm unable to decide which firmware I have. Here are the logs...

I found a thread with similar question like this and they told that this is firmware R4ED001 and update it to R4EA031. They told this is the version of FS not the main( The main is R4EA031 already) .

I don't know is it good to update to R4EA031 and how could it be possible to have MAIN and FS with two different versions.

Will someone please tell me exactly what firmware version my phone has or do I need to flash the phone's FS. Thanks.

You shouldn't worry about Main and FS not having the same name. E.g. my Main is R4EA031, and my FS R4ED001. For patching, a compatible Main only is required. So no need of flashing the FS, if you have the Generic version of R4EA031 on your phone, Sysgfx patch will work just fine.

Thank you very much corman for replying so quickly... I'll try to apply sysgfx_alpha_w810_r4ea031 patch using setool2lt now. Btw you have mentioned about generic version of a compatible main. I have "prgCXC1250317_CHINA_HN R4EA031" as I know. Will this compatible with sysgfx?.

if there's a sysgfx for China Main then yes. but i don't know if there's one (there should be). i only follow up on Generic Main patches because that's the Main i use. if the patches don't specify what Main they are for, then they are made to use with Generic Main.

If I were you I would flash my phone to a GENERIC_HN MAIN because most patches are for Generic. Rarely will you find a patch for Chinese firmware.

use Generic Main unless you need the chinese language.

thanks for replying you all...the Chinese MAIN was in the phone when I buy it..I'll consider about the options you have mentioned. And about the flashing option do I need to perform a full flash for the phone or can I just flash the MAIN only ? What will be the filenames for MAIN and FS if I need to do a full flash ?

Here I found the W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49 for the phone but there is no Generic FS file to download.
Instead there is this file named W810_R4ED001_FS_APAC_RED49 is this file ok for FS. The region of the phone is shown as APAC .( It is shown in the configurations) .

Like we said, if you only want to patch the phone, don't flash the FS, your Main will do.

just flash the generic main, that'll be enough.

Most firmwares are R4ED001.

Generic firmware is good for patching.

Can I ask questions? There's seems to be some incompatibility even when Im already using a generic_hn firmware. My backspeaker seems to be decreasing and losing some quality when applying a patch. I have sysgfx patch installed and works just fine except for the backspeaker, and the network icon sometimes reverting back to its original. I only have 30 files on my gfx.
