Hey all. I recently unlocked a few phones for friends. All k800i's. All of them unlocked succesfully apart from one I did today.

It was an orange branded k800i. I unlocked it, inserted my own o2 simcard but it says Inactive Sim where the operator name should be. I put my sim back in my own phone and it worked fine.

I tried putting someones Vodafone sim in the k800 and it worked fine.

I have tried re-flashing the MAIN and FS and customizing the FS and unlocking again but the same happens.

I used the latest firmware, as I did with the other phones. R8BF003 Cent Europe.

At first, I thought the IMEI may have been blacklisted but, when I tried the Vodafone sim, it changed my thoughts.

Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Cheers

Did you try making a call with the Voda sim? Vodafone and T-Mobile sims will still show a signal and even allow you to send/receive texts in a blocked phone.

how are you making the patch? are you using SIMLockPatchGen v2.0 ?? and are you using the same firmware that you flashed it with to make your unlock patch?

Tried making a call. Just done some beeps. I'm guessing it's been blocked.

IMEI changing against the rules?

Aye, used the newest version. And the same firmware. Same as the other ones I did.

Did you try to clean the part in the sim card?

You use your towel to clean it off.

I did it to mine.

Changing IMEI numbers = Highly illegal... if you did it to your friends phones, I'd change them back.

Nah, didn't do it. Wouldn't have the first idea what to do. Everything I know about modding phones is off this forum.
