Hi Guys, im hoping you can give me some ideas here.
I have a K750 with a faulty joystick. I read in several places that this is often caused by the stick becoming clogged with rubbish. So I decided to take the phone apart. I am normaly pretty good at dismantling electronics and re-assembling them, but this time I wasnt so lucky.
I followed this tutorial to the letter. Nothing seemed to go wrong in terms of having to force components or any worrying snaps or tears.
I then tried cleaning the parts, and here is where I may have gone wrong. I used nail varnish remover on cotton swabs to clean out the parts. I figured than an alchohol based solvent should be fine as long as I didnt drown the thing! Was this very stupid of me?
So then after having cleaned everything I rebuilt the phone (again nothing seemed to go wrong) but now It is totaly dead. When I try and turn it on there is no reaction from anything, no vibration, nothing on the screen, nothing at all. Im thinking this is probably because of my somehow frying the mainboard as surely damage to peripherals such as the keypad would at least let me turn the thing on!? The only reaction I can get is that the charging light does come on when plugged in to the mains. unfortnately this is little help though.
So im hoping against hope that someone here will give me a suggestion of what may be happening and I dont have to give the phone up for dead completely.
*crosses fingers*
HELP!!!!!
