Yes Im a newbie, I've been watching the forums for a while now reading the wealth of knowledge contained here. Great job guys. So here I am poised with a question that has been asked countless times, but I struggle to find a common answer within the forums.

How do I unlock a K800i (db202020 CID49 Red)

I don't need to know the technical ins and out just the steps, as I believe I can find the details in the forums. The reason I ask is that I have come across a thread that says flash to k810 and unlock then there is another that says I can generate my own flash files???

check this guide. follow through the steps up to and including installing the quick access patch, and then when you reach the section regarding patching, you will need to use a sim unlock patch that is specific to your firmware version. this can be generated by simox's tool, or downloaded from various places.

Thanks for that, my only concern with the given tutorial is that it requires you to use SEUS but I have read other threads saying not to update as it will change the phone fro CID49 to CID52, I assuming that this change no longer matters.
