Hey can anyone help me when I turn on my phone it just goes to a black screen - side lights still work any everything but no screen.

you can try flashing ur phone, if its something to do with the firmware that should fix it.
if the problem still exists maybe u need to change ur screen !!!

i think its a hardware issue, maybe the flex cable went bad or loose.
btw, the tut u hav is for uploading file using xs++.
you may try flashing the phone to c if it wil work, search for flashing tutorials using XS++

OKay I fixed it I flashed it with the latest firmware but now I have another issue...

Prior to my phone be flashed my phone was unlocked, so it could be used to companies other than "Rogers" in my case Fido now when I put my Sim Card in it just says "Please insert correct Sim card"

It is locked because the original carrier was lazy and patch unlocked it. Just use Simox Unlock Patch generator then flash the patch to your phone
