Erm. If you flashed your phone, you lose EVERYTHING. Which means you lose your contacts too. And no, I don't think the old contacts will be on the GDFS?

Should've backed up your contacts before you flashed! wink.gif
Auzi2k7
oh maaan, too late now!!! angry2.gif doh.gif angry.gif
93bh
Did you copy all the contacts to the sim card?
Auzi2k7
nope, it was all on phone memory, it was ma bruvas phone as well he gna kill me!
93bh
Better way is to give to him without telling, and run away.
nordingh
Just put the phone in his drawer and pretend you don't know anything.
93bh
Did he know that you flash his phone?
reactos
write back the gdfs the contact number should be in there
ThilinaC
u should use backup contact to mem card mate....just put fone back and pretend u dont know anything
reactos
dont do what they say the contact is in the gdfs write back the backup and the contact list will look like before you played with the phone no one will ever know what you did.
if you download the software userdata extractor and open the gdfs in it and extract it you will see all the contacts
Nick14
just say that he had a virus on his phone that deleted all the contacts and you removed it if your lucky he will belive you devil2.gif tongue.gif
ThilinaC

Sorry dude haha, my bad smile.gif

Reactos clearly knows what he's talking about lol. I learnt something new today tongue.gif GDFS will have your contacts on it laugh.gif
nordingh
But not sure can have it all or not. The contact in backup GDFS only available for thr day backup made. For me, I always add new entry in phonebook. Better use MyPhoneExplorer to backup.
Auzi2k7
thank you all very much i have got them on the computer, how can i put them on my phone now??
nomy
simply add them as u would if u save a new number.
nomy
you have got the names and the numbers already right?
Ciggy
if u used my phone explorer to get them on the pc you can always use it to put it back on the phone.

@reactos

i thought the GDFS contained the contacts and the FS had the numbers??? because when i opened my friend's GDFS, i found his contacts, but no numbers.

if you extracted them i dont know how to get them back i only pued the software here to show that you can find the contacts in the gdfs.
write back the gdfs backup to the phone with xs++ and the contacts will be on the phone.
Ciggy
or ok then. i thought this because myself and PabloMdiez were trying to figure out where the numbers were stored. we knew the contacts were in the GDFS but we couldn't locate the numbers

like i say before you dont need to extract them you can write the gdfs to the phone and all number will be back.
But if you want to extract them then did you tick the box with DB2020?
Auzi2k7
yh i ticked the box, still the same, if i put the gdfs back on the phone will the phone be branded again, becuase i backed up the gdfs and the debranded the phone.

i tried on my own gdfs and i got all my contacts.
try with your own gdfs and see if you get all.
gregface
if you still need help on this, upload the GDFS here and I will be able to get all your contacts in contacts.vcf format, simply write this to your memory card and you can load them into your phone from there.

I try the software myself. For my K610 GDFS I found 302 name. That was when I backup my GDFS. Now should have more than that but still better that nothing.

For K750 GDFS I didn't get anything.

K750 gdfs belong to my friend phone. Cannot test now. My w800 have no phonebook, I just do a clean firmware flashing.
