Ok i am using X++3.1 and it worked before but after using setool2lite and pressing the wrong button i screwed up my phone it couldn't read the GDFS. Anyway reflash my phone using:

Main: W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49
FS: W810_R4ED001_FS_EUROPE_1_RED49
CDA: CDA102494/108 EUROPE_1
everything worked fine. Now i am reading the phone with X++3.1 and it still reads firmware software version R4AD001. I've tried re-flashing just the main firmware but still it reads R4ED001. Any help would be great thanks

Have you made a GDFS-backup? If so, I advise you to restore it.

I am only a beginner but when I flashed my w810i recently, I had to switch on the phone so that it loads the new software which takes about 3 mins. After it has loaded, remove battery, reinsert and connect to XS++.

Switching on the phone? What do you mean?
But does your phone work now? You can always try pressing >*<<*<*< on your keypad when the phone is on, (> and< are arrows on d-pad), and then browse to software info. See if it's right there.

Ok i check in the phone itself in the service info it says R4EA031 but when i check in x++ is says R4ED001 how come?!
When i use setoolite v1.11 i get this:
I identify the pHone with setool2lt and it says

YOU MUST PERFORM FULL FLASHING FOR PATCH UNLOCK

When i use v1.08 it's fine no such error but i don't think i can use 1.08 to apply .vkp patches right
