Admittedly, I'm just your usual dumb mobile user. Until now I've tried to remain ignorant to how the phone works just accepting that it does.
That changed when I ran the SE Update Service which rendered my regular media player nonfunctional. After a month or so of telling myself that I didn't need the media player, I decided to look into other options. I stumbled across KD player and in the process got dragged into installing that Halmar stuff using XS++. Somewhat to my surprise, the player worked and I'm quite happy with it over what I had originally been using.
Now I'd like to change "Music" link on the phone's desktop to point to KD Player instead of the default player (that doesn't work). I've spent some time browsing these forums and other sites looking for the solution but thought I had better register and ask specifically what I need to do. I've seen a few mentions to editting the menu.ml file but I'm not sure if that'll affect the desktop or just the 4x3 'Main Menu'. To be honest, I'm a little scared by the thought of blowing something up trying to edit files on a whim so any guidance would be appreciated.
As I said in the topic title, I'm dealing with a SE k790 handset. My goal is to be able to hit the "Music" link directly from the desktop and have it load KD Player.
