If the phone is CID49/52 you need to upgrade it with xs++.

Start xs++
Turn of the phone.
Press the button connect.
Hold "C" button on the phone and connect the DCU-60 cable.
if CID is lower then 52 xs++ will ask you if you want to upgrade CID press yes.
Disconnect the phone and close xs++

Start patch generator.
Open firmware in the patch generator.
Press the button make patch.
You will find the generated patch in a folder called vkp.

How to apply patch if the phone is unbranded
Start setool2 lite 1.11
Select phone modell.
Tick bypass DB2020 security box.
Press the button add and browse for the main file.
Add patch In MISC files.
Press flash and follow instruction in setool.

after the work is done check if the phone accept all cards.

hello. maybe u can help me. i own a v630i, locked in vodafone romania. i followed your tutorial exactly. i used
setool v 1.11, and simlockpatchgen v 2.1 and "K610_MAIN_GENERIC_R1KG001_FS_MEDITERR_RED52" for main and patching. everything went ok, and now the phone recognises other networks to, and it has a full signal bar. everything is perfect exept..... i can't make any calls! when i try to make a call it acts as if there were no signal (the typical se sound for that). can u tell me what i did wrong? have i used the wrong main? and if yes can u give me an appropriate v630 firmware? pleasa answer me asap. thnks

why did you use K610 firmware on v630i?

You have a problem because you flashed main only, and I presume your not flashing the FS also is what is causing this...

Is it not as simple as doing the following (I need to debrand as well).

Find a generic Main and FS for my K800i.

Use XS++ to flash the main and fs to finalise/customise it.

Use simlock patch generator to make me a VKP for the main I used.

Open up SE Tool Lite 2, select my phone from the drop down list, click identify to get it conected.

Click on bypass 2020 security

Add the unlock patch generated to misc, click on write script and select no to apply the patch.

I should have a patch unlocked K800i.

When I run this, I follow the instructions of connecting the phone above, however once it's open (says port open) there are no other options for me. They are all dimmed out..?

That's not even connected properly because it's meant to show your details. Does the phone go into file transfer mode? If not try setool. And you are using XS++ 3.1 right?

Hi i have a SE W880i, i have problems uppgrading the CID 51 to the CID 52.
When i use XS++ and it asks if i want to uppgrade to CID 52 and i click yes. Here is the log:

After that my mobile freezes when i unplugg it. I cant start it up or i cant reconnect it, and if i try to reconnect it it says:

Then i have to take out the battery for a few secs and put it back in. When i now connect agin it is still on CID: 51.

hi, i've debranded my phone with xs++ then i preceeded to unlock with vk patch and setool2lt 1.1 problem is after i get past yes to remove patch and no to apply (i clicked no to apply) i get an error some patch values differ so i click continune and then the phone won't turn on i have tried 3 times after having re-flashed main also tried addind quick access patch first then i get gdfs boot error

Try a full reflash, fs as well. Then flash your GDFS backup if that didn't work.

ok i'll give it a go, i got the patch uploaded then got comfig error when i statrt phone tried flashing cust pack and fs again but keep getting same message

Configuration error? How are you flashing the custom pack? Try using FSX and uploading the extracted files to tpa\preset\custom.

Ive just done it to my sonyericsson w880i and it works wonderfully.
To this work you need to unbrand your mobile, and patch the file. And at the end of patching the program will ask if you want to apply the patch or no. Put no to not remove tha patch. If you need help ask in this forum and i will try to help.

This tutorial did not work for me. I backed up my GDFS, and the patch generator states that it is not a valid firmware file. I have a K550i. I have also tried downloading other Firmware files from the net and the patch maker also tells me they are not valid firmware

Which firmware and which version of simlockpatchgen?

my k800 just killed itself yesterday and I am confirming that this works! Phone is perfect again.

Make sure you flash main and FS generic in XS++ first though!
