I've no Idea, Can Someone plz tell me how to use Flash Themes so that My Menu Icons look Different?

although I myself am a newbie, I have managed to add two flash themes, Here's what I have done:
Requirements: XS++, and themes( I Have XS++ version 3.1)
1. Connect your phone (What you have to do is click the connect button in xs, shut of your phone, press the 'c' button, hold it and connect the cable, and XS++ should detect it.
2.Now go to tpa->preset->system->desktop->flash and in flash put all the themes.
3.Then after that disconnect ur phone, and reconnect it in normal mode.
4.With the flash theme there comes a .thm file- put that in the themes folder in the memory card or phone memory
5. I don't knoww if this is neccessary but restart the phone
now the theme will be there.

most of the flash themes I found on this website are without the .thm file. I do not understand how to create the .thm file for those files, and I wou,\ld gratefull it if someone could shed some light in that area.

You don't have to make a theme (.thm).Just find a .thm you like and with this tut "connect" the flash theme with the simple theme.

i've the same problem with my k810i & i don't know what to do ANY HELP PLZ

Do you mean that rename the same file 9for example musaic.swf) to musaic.thm. I did try that but when I was applying it, it said the file is corrupt. Then I had installed a previous flash theme, but when I rnamed it and put it, it used the original flash theme.

Or do I edit a .thm in the notepad, replacing the previous flash theme name (Psp_Menu_TrackID.swf) to (musaic.swf) and save it and put it in phone.

Could you stress a little on Connect?

You change the .thm extension to .TAR, Unrar the .TAR file using WinRAR or TUGZIP (or other programs)... inside the extracted archive there should be an .XML file... open IT in notepad, and on the first line there is somthing called DESKTOP style...




Should look something like that, the "ownSWF.swf" is the .SWF file you want to connect with the .THM...

and after that, download TUGZIP, and then make a new .TAR archive.. select ALL the files... in the extracted theme folder... now after packing it again, change the extension to .THM, and it will work

I don't get the Last Part, where you have to change something to .tar format cos im using Winrar, do i need something different?

You need Tugzip.

h4mza what he is saying is rename the .THM file extension from '.THM' to '.TAR' which is a file which a software called winRAR can open. You can download a trial version for it from rarlab.com. When you open it there will be a .XML file in there, and when you open that there will be the name of the .SWF theme it is connected to. Change that to the theme you want and the flash theme works. I think that you might directly open it with notepad (the .THM file) by right-clicking on the file, clicking open with, and then using notepad it will open. I tried it once and it worked, and I saw the name of the .SWF it was connected to. Anyways Thanks pikitsan

Well I doesn't work now either maybe it's because I have a k610i

I Download a Flash Theme (Orbitblue), Open it with Winrar, Extract the Two Files in a New Folder, then i Right Click on .thm file and then highlight 7Zip, then Click on Extract files... and Click OK, now it makes a Folder with Theme's Pics and a file called theme.xml, I Open theme.xml with Notepad and in Line 4 I add

<Desktop_style Type="File" Source="orbitblue.swf"/>

Then i Save and exit, after that im not sure what's the Right Way to do it

I have a k610i... I tried that procedure, but nothing... the default ugly menu remains there when applying the new themes...
Have I to delete the original menu.ml in system folder?

I flashed my phone and everything
the new themes and flash menus work perfectly.
one question though..
when i want to put in more and new flash menus
do i have to reflash the phone and start from the beginning?
or do i just have to start the Far program?

No you don't have to reflash your phone just upload the themes with xs++ to /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash

I've download simplee themes,and there is a .thm file in this pack,
I've upload the flash file 2 my k800,and copy the thm file 2 my phone,but when i want 2 set the theme it said the file is corrupt,
What should i do?

just to be sure!
you should just put the .swf files in the /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash with the Far Manager
then follow the guide where you flash with the XS++ again when it aprox takes 2 min to flash?
