I've been reading every tutorial and guide about flash themes and i still dont understand it very much. I want to use flash themes on my W580 and im wondering do i have to debrand my phone first, or can i just upload the files straight to my phone? If i do have to debrand my phone could sombody send me a link that is easy to understand for n00bs like myself because most there are parts i cant understand, and also which files or programs i would need to do this.

I know people in my town that unlock phones, i had to do it a few times before. They unlock the phone so that it can be used with any network, eg. i had a vodafone handset and i wanted to use a different network so i brought it to them, they unlock it and i could use it wih O2, (different network), is this the same thing as im trying to do when i debrand it? In other words if they "unlock" it would i be able to send flash themes to my phone without going to all the trouble of debranding it myself?

Also, is flashing the same thing as debranding and unlocking?

Flashing the normal firmware does not unlock the phone.
Debranding is to flash the branded phone.
