Here is the thing,
I was at my friends house which do not have XS++ so I downloaded it.
It came packed in in a .rar file so i extracted it to the desktop, when I double click the .exe file to install his virus scanner starts whining about how it have detected a virus in the file .

Since the program dont recognise the virus (?but it knew it was one ?) it asked if I wanted to search F-Secures database for more information. So I did, this is what I found.

"Agent.aa is a data stealing trojan..." [read the full summary here - http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/agent_aa.shtml]

That was all I needed to hear, we removed the file asap .
So my question is have anyone else experienced the same, and is it really a virus?

This is really starting to freak me out because I got the same program installed on my computer at home.

It happen if you download from other site than se-nse. 4shared is safe because it have virus scanner. If you download SE stuff from the Limewire, it might have virus.

I was in my cousin's house (really far away). I need to download xs++ because I need to flash my phone.
But my cousin said "no" She think that downloading stuff can get the virus easily. (her laptop doesn't have anti-virus), So i download it and its nothing happen.

I take it shes very Naive as she does not realise a malicious scripted webpage can introduce a VIRUS into her computer?

or even a macro in any of the top business packages that she may use to write her letters/c.v. etc ?


You dont need to download anything even viewing or listening to streaming media can introduce all kinds of Virii!

even the supposed fool proof MAC O.S. and even recently LINUX has had at least a couple of scares with Virii!!!

my next question is ...if she has NO ANTI VIRII software installed HOW WOULD SHE KNOW if she DID GET ONE?

Adware is also forum of Virii/Spyware that can also bring in MORE stuff

What is your antivirus?sometimes it can be false positive.

ya, it try using nod32 or kaspersky. nod32 did not detect any virus.

It´s not my anti virus prog., it´s my friends and he´s got "F-Secure"

And I did download it from here, don´t remember from which "uploading site" though

Now I´m back home.
I´ll scan my comp with the avg free edition and see if it finds anything.

Oh , avg free don´t check for spyware just viruses. ahh well now I got some bad ass spyware on the comp [YES]

Hehe I have some experience with these things... most likely it's a keylogger. If it's a derivative of BlazingTools Perfect Keylogger, it might have an option to remove it via Add/Remove Programs. Or, run Spybot Search & Destroy. BPK (BlazingTools Perfect Keylogger) is bundled onto the program that is run, and it should have a .dll file that's named weird... I know when I bugged my sisters laptop I said " Hey I found this really cool song program... it let's you edit the song and stuff" and I bundled BPK with it and called the dll svchost.dll lol.

use SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY or Spyware Terminator 2 both freeware and both good for getting rid of spyware with regular FREE UPDATES too

Oh yah or Use Linux/Ubuntu or another flavor of Ubuntu... Ubuntu/Linux pwns btw... nothing better lol... even better when you have it mounted on a virtual drive XD

Lol, I've been without Anti-Virus since... well, since AUGUST!, and I installed an antivirus a week ago.. and guess what?, 0 Virusses!

use AVG FREE with ZONE ALARM PRO or kaspersky
that's the real protection.

I use kaspersky..pretty good...have no problems at all......

use nod32 it is really the best

I have it! It was crazy, it have over 2000 upgrades.
I don't know, why it like that?
