Full Version: Strange Problem With My W700i

My W700i restarts suddenly while attempting to play some songs in walkman. This problem occurs with certain songs for sometime and then plays normall some other time.

After a lot of experiments with the phone I suspect the problem is due to storing camera pictures in memory card. I found that after many cycles of taking pics with cam and deleting some pics randomly causes the walkman to crash & restarts the phone. This song will not play for sometime and then will play properly after a week or so....maybe due to memory card fragmentation or something. I normally transfer the songs using the USB drive and do not use the SE software.

So i set the option as save pictures to phone memory and then I have no problems....... Anyone faced a similar problem or know of a solution please suggest.

i think i know what's the problem..try this:delete the songs that were added after this problem..i had this problem too..my phone was restarting when i was trying to play a song in walkman...the problem was caused by the newest mp3..the bitrate was too big and the phone couldn't play it...delete the newest song/s and try again..hope it works.

hehehe.. actually I tried deleting the song and loading again and also emptying the entire mem card and loading everything back again.... but it will not play some particular songs only sometimes.... after a week or so they will start playing again normally without making any changes.... and then after sometime it will once again start crashing.... Not the case with bitrates, all my songs are standard 128Kbps, gives me the best quality/size ratio.

I tried many things and found out that storing the cam pics in phone mem instead of mem card stopped the problem....these problems were there even before flashing the phone confused.gif

maybe it's a hardware problem..in the stick or in the phone when reading the stick..if your phone is still in waranty, reflash the phone to original and go to the shop you buyed it..and maybe they know how to solve it..
