first of all, thanks for the great site, great resources and great atmosphere...

now to the problem... im effin frustrated - i cant get far manager to connect to my phone... i've had a hassle over this for few past days, i've been criss-crossing this whole forum but no solution for my problem seems to be described...

I have far manager with latest sefp plugin... my phone is w810i and please will anyone be so kind to describe me step-by-step how can the connection be made... i've tried every possible combination (phone swiched on/off, when connecting the cable, with and without holding the C key and so on) and still no success...

How to flash:-

Make sure that you every required file, then start with the following steps:-

A] Install USB Flash drivers from here

B]Install FAR-manager 1.70 which can be downloaded from here

C] Extract SEFP plugins, first you should extract SEFP v010044 and then SEFP v010051 over it to the following directory C:\Program Files\Far\Plugins

D]Extract db2010cid49_4_alpha.rar.zip (den_po’s CID49 pack) to FAR\plugins

E]Install XS++ and a get a proper MAIN firmware which is suited by your phone model

F]Now you need to remove your SIM-card and memory stick, now start XS++, connect your phone by holding C, then just flash your MAIN with w810_p3k_dcu.49R.ssw(for W810i only!!). It’s just a break in loader which enables you to enter the phone without brute forcing. It’s only 5 flash blocks, should not take more than 20secs, so if it hangs more than 30 seconds then simply stop the process and disconnect your cell. NOTE:- Your cell won’t start after flashing this file!

G]Now start FARmanager, and press F11
Choose SEFP plugin,
If you get the error: “Unknown exception”, Exception address: 0×7C812A5B…… The plugin will be Unloaded!
1) This is a bug. It’s because you don’t have any COM-ports, so create a fake COM-port connection. I did it with my BT Dongle.
2) If you get the error: “ can be used with Service Cable ONLY”…. browse to the SEFP folder and patch sefp.dll with sefp0.10.0.51patch.exe (which can be found in den_po’s CID49 pack).
3) If you still get any errors, and just want a working phone back, skip this part and just disconnect the phone and then flash your main firmware. You’ll have a working phone back.

H] Now all you need to do is choose Bootscript: w300_w810_z550_cid49 and press Enter The Matrix.

I] After some time you should be in the file system of the phone, if not, try again, check settings above (1, 2, and 3) and make sure you have chosen the right settings.

J] Now choose FS (this is the place where you customize all the stuff like icons, menus, sound, cam driver, etc).

For custom menus go here: /tpa/preset/system/desktop/flash
For audio drivers: ifs/settings/acoustic/
For replacing camdriver: /ifs/settings/camera/camdriver0.dat
For adding new photo frames: tpa/preset/system/multimedia/pe/

K] When you finish with this, Just go back to root (press ‘..’ all the time) until FAR asks to “EXIT CSFS loader”, choose “YES”.

L] Then just exit FAR-manager. Disconnect cable and remove your battery for 5secs.

Now for getting your phone working again….
M] Start XS++ and connect your cell. Now only flash your real MAIN file (i.e. W810_R4EA031_MAIN_GENERIC_HN_RED49.mbn, you can find it in here, 344 flash blocks).
[{Don’t check Customize File System!}] This will only take about 2 minutes!
That’s it you are now done with flashing, now you can simply start the phone by just adding back the SIM, mem card and then battery.

you'll like to use xs v3.1, doesn't require main fake, or rest(like setool)

i have downloaded the sefp0.10.0.51patch.exe several times from different times.But i failed to open it as if it is treated as a dead application on my pc.i am using XP service pack2.
any solution to my problem pls?

it's true that rest and ssw are old,but i like them more than xs for the moment..when xs will can patch xs will be my favourite..till that..farmanager is better.
