Im just wondering, is it possible to mod a w810i from a linux pc?

there isn't that kind of program for linux
you can test latest version of vmware(virtual machine) in the change log it says that have improved usbdrivers features

No not yet.
That's the only reason I have windows in my computer.
What you could do is to find a copy of windows (use a friends comp or something) and install the flashing stuff there. Install as much patches as you can to move folder locations and then next time in linux, just mount the phone in file transfer and start modding the FS contents.
2 things wrong though:
- This only works if the phone is CID49
- You will be missing out on new patches that come out (but if the phone is CID50, you can't patch anyway)

could do your image editing for themes n other things with gimp......also making the flash menus should be possible?...i think lol. actually getting it to the phone youll need windows. speaking of that i gotta get around to reinstalling my windows partition so messed up

What do you mean FS contents?
You can't access the flash drive inside the phone like FAR. There is no driver yet.

Right so is it not possible to unlock then under linux?
Ha. Not bothered with linux now
After a big move I now access to a pc with windows xp on it
Also, the phone in question is red CID 49 (see signature w810i: thats what XS++ regonised it as)
The other phone is my cousins who also wants his phone modded to the dogs nads
Ideally, what I would like to see with the w810 is:
ice black acoustic's (I have the link already)
Unlock patch for now until I get a service cable (again, I have seen the post here for the patch so not really needing help with that)
Better camera driver (this is where I need help there are so many to choose from here, which one is the best?)
Any other patches I can get my hands on
Simulary, ideally, what my cousin would like to see with his w200 is:
ice black acoustic's (Are they the same as the w810?)
Unlock patch for now until I get a service cable (Same patch as the w810i Im lead to believe)
