Hi, I recently changed service providers from 3 to Vodafone but my k800i was branded 3, so I need to unlock it so I can put my Vodafone sim card in

I'm completely noob at this - could anyone show me in baby steps how to unlock it

I downloaded the MAIN and FS Files but the xs ++ wouldn't connect to the phone, I downloaded some drivers but they weren't exe and I don't know how to make them exe

I then got SE Tool Lite but when I went to put the files through there, it woudln't take them - it just stayed blank

So, can anyone help ?

note that debranding and unlocking are two different things

Well, the phone only takes a 3 sim card, so I need to debrand/unlock whatever so it can take my Optus or vodafone sim card

then i think if you wanna unlock it, either find a patch or call 3 for the unlock code.

What sort of patch ?

i suggest u debrand ur phone using latest cid:51 firmware, then u need to buy 1.5 logs look here http://www.topsony.com/forum/cmps_index.ph...uy_log_d-client, and do a patch unlock

ok u should be able to unlock it then, have u got d-client and 1.5 logs, then just run d-client enter ur log-in information which should have been e-mailed to u when u brought the logs, then there should be a unlock button or something
