I am a complete newbie to this forum and to sony ericsson phones ! i was a nokia man, used to unbrand my nokia phones & unlock but until now i just got myself a Brown K800i on vodafone. vodafone has messed up this phone with their branding thing. i want to unbrand my phone to an original sim free UK k800i.
How i am going to do is , what softwares required etc ..

just thought i would say that the call send (red)/end (green) keys become the internet/activity menu buttons

Remove the sim card, and memory stick before doing this.

1. Go to www.wotanserver.com and find your phone on the front page.
2. Purchase a credit. £4.99
3. In the side panel of the website there is a link to download the usb flash drivers.
4. Download them.
5. Turn off your K800i and hold C.
6. If you havn't already installed the usb flash drivers, install them.
7. Open WotanServer.
8. Enter your Username and Password you recieved by e-mail.
9. Click Start/Connect, i can't remember which!
10. It will connect, you can release the C button now.
11. Select the firmware you want, then the CDA (if you want it unbranded select "europe_2". That is Generic.
12. Click continue and it will take 5-15 minutes depending on your connection speed.
13. When it has finished, unplug the cable, remove the battery, wait 10 seconds and re-insert it.
14. Turn your phone on and you have an unbranded K800i, I have done this myself. I HATE vodafone!

As for unlocking, i can't help you on that one, sorry!

thanks for your help but is there any way that i can do it by SEUS ?

Sadly SEUS cannot be used like that what you could do is read and read and read these very forums and look for a tutorial for debranding you'd need a main, matched FS and custompack and a copy of XS++ I use Europe 2 for mine in the UK.

What is the Vodafone branding like btw I've never seen it.

you can debrand with my tut, but you cannot unlock the phone.

i will post a picture of the vodafone branding for you altharic ..

and to crayons ..where do i get the mytut ?

u need to convert ur phone from brown to red, as no programme can flash a brown phone, as there is a custpack i made in the downloads section, it's for europe_2 and contains none of the vodafone branding but all the vodafone wap links etc.

I think he means brown as in the colour of the casing lol, if its got vodafone branding it will be a red retail model

oh yeah maybe he should have been more clear, cause brown is also a erom colour
