23.now press "Generate XML source"
24.press "save as"
25.for file name type customize_upgrade.xml, it's very important u name it that
26.press save, save it somewhere easy to find

When I tried to open FS, I got a message saying it failed with error 0.

This tutorial works great for me!!!

Thanks for your work.
mak2k
it sort of worked.. it created a directory called usb/other in the root of the device.. but it doesn't go into the phone's memory in other file.

i'm using a w580.. maybe it has a different path?

try naming it default_upgrade.xml
lo little
yh ifs is kinda wierd i used my way above into tpa/user/other but they just dont budge lol ill try again see if i can come up with anythin

edit: i have found that it wont take the camdriver0.dat from ifs/settings/camera so i think it doesnt work with ifs directory but works fine in the tpa seen as i have taken the flash menus, lighteffects ect from the tpa directory
M
scene.. i jus wanted the pak i made with acoustics... cuz its nice... and i dnt wanna lose it... but i seemed to find it , at least i think so, so no need for this yet and if we need a full fledged backup.. use this method:

tut | how to extract FS

thanks a lot guys... again!

but ill try the default upgrade tho... soon.. i jus got back from school... we had football aka soccer competition all day! fun stuff!
tanjiajun_34
Can someone just zip the whole Plugin folder instead of keep extracting cos it always did not work....
Whosat
You're from Singapore, right...

Don't use any download accelerators, else it'll corrupt. Tried before.
Whosat
"select SEFP 0.10.51 FAR should look like"

Should be "select SEFP 10.0.51 FAR should look like" =D

Too scared to mess around with those, seeing people having problems already. I shall just wait patiently for the next XS++, which, hopefully, will allow me to download files from the phone fs... T.T
93bh
Yay! It's working, I changed usb/other/ to tpa/user/other/(only works in w580i or maybe)

Thanks lo little! thumbsup.gif

copying file from phone memory to the computer is working.

but it doesn't work for ifs

edit:edit: please don't delete it or else, it will be gone.

just delete custom_upgrade.xml or default_upgrade.xml from tpa/preset/custom/

just delete it from " other" folder, nothing happen on w580i

HI, I would like to point out a small change in the tutorial......In page 1

Step 8 actually is "8.select SEFP 0.10.51 FAR should look like"

But should actually be "8.select SEFP 0.10.0.44 FAR should look like"

Otherwise i could not find the db2020_52 option. Hope number1 makes the change in the next version....

An excellent tutorial by the way. I was stuck with many dead folders which I added for walkman skin and could not remove the folders with xs++.. this tutorial saved my phone from many junk files.

Ive got Far Manager working ok but when i come to copying files from the tpa directory the files are just blank, always show 0KB under the file ive copied to the computer and show nothing in notepad or anything else? Is there something i missed?

ATTENTION !!!!!!

Don't run sefp0.10.0.51patch.exe it's infected
The program runs just fine without running that "patch".
Don't infect your machine!

Hope this saves someone to run it.

plz help me...

you must use capital letter if you copy from IFS directory ....
Example : IFS/SETTINGS/ACOUSTIC/PHF_call.zapf

try naming it default_upgrade.xml

yes ...
but you will need to put it inside default directory instead of customize.
Kaos
[font="Arial"][size=4]1.install farmanager
2.go to programme files/Far/plugins

fix for w580

instead of usb/other

use tpa/user/other

same for my W880 -> instead of usb/other I used tpa/user/other
i guess that most 2006+ released SE`s have tpa/user system folder instead of the usb/ one

thnx again

Okay there is a lot to take in here with all the logs and what not but do I have this clear I am using a W580i on AT&T so to get Flash menus I have to use tpa/user/other path for the customize_upgrade.xml file after all is done with the initial tutorial? If Im wrong then do I have to debrand first?
